  •  well ladies and gentlemen, I thought it was high time that i update you all, because many of you think at this very moment I am in Oregon, when in reality, I am sitting in Rockwells listening to Five For Fighting...yes, that is correct...Rockwells...Lindale...TX...

So, for those that are confused...the Lord decided that this would be the best place for me...as difficult and heart breaking as this is, it is His will and where He leads I will follow.

For the official 4-1-1, I could not get a loan for my schooling at George Fox University, so I weighed my options and decided it would be most cost effective to go to school where I was considered a resident...thusly so, I am back here in Tejas...right now I am taking a class with Liberty (accounting...yuck) and I will be taking economics (double yuck) in October with Liberty as well. Then, in the Spring I will be going, God willing, to UT Tyler to finish my degree in business and I hope to add a minor in Spanish. The minor in spanish is new simply because I could not afford to minor in Spanish at George Fox, so, with this transition, I am able to reach the goal that I believe the Lord has placed on my heart!

    Welp...that's it, there isn't anymore....

    Peace Out Home Dawgs!

    Update

    Hello friends!
I believe it is time for a very long update from my turf. I work somewhat well with bullets, they help me to separate my thoughts...so here I go!
    • I am starting school in August (27th), but I am moving in early (20th), because I am going to be an "O" leader (the "O" stands for orientation) for the incoming freshmen...I'm pretty excited to welcome the fresh meat...the 20th marks the first day of 9 months worth of 1 hour (collectively) commutes to work...ouch...gas sure is going to be killer this time around...
    • When school starts I will be the president of a group called The George Fox Ambassadors...this group gives tours around campus, sit on student panels, and are basically the first impressions to prospective students. For those from the HA...its a group of 20 that basically do Erik's and Justin Trump's "First Impressions" job (which proves how amazing these two men were at their job!).
    • I will be living in the women's ministry house on campus! Which means our house will have an open door policy to all the women on campus...what a great opportunity to serve! Speaking of service, my school has one day out of the whole year that they shut down the whole campus and have a "Serve Day" , because we take part in the women's ministry on campus our serve day will include doing some cleaning for a house called the Community Maternity House (a house for teenage mothers) and then at the end of the day we will help the mothers scrapbook pictures of their little one. What an amazing opportunity!
This all is so exciting I can hardly wait! So, if you think of me, please pray for me! I also have some prayer requests!
    Please pray that:
    • My loan and FAFSA info gets sorted out before school starts!
    • Please pray for my long distance relationship with my family
    • Please pray that I do not believe the lies of the enemy and that I remember His promises and His love for me.
    • Please pray that I see opportunities to serve Him and others daily
    • Please pray that I understand what it means to love.
    peace out ya'll!!

  • long time no talkie...

Wow...so it has been longer than a month since the last time I updated! AMAZING.

-Welp, working like crazy, possibly getting a job at a tanning salon.
-I went to Houston to visit my fam about a week ago! My brother got a job at Chic-fil-a...he's getting so old!
-My car got broken into on Saturday night and all he took was my paper work...oh yeah and he LEFT his cell phone...needless to say, I got my stuff back and he got his cell back...thanks to the PD...
-I am almost done with my Psychology class...but before I am totally finished, I have a 10 page research paper to turn in, as well as one last test...
-For those of you who do not know, I am Ali Nau and Luke Roeser are now married...
-I am one of Laurie Field's brides maids!

If you think about it, pray for me and my walk with the Lord...it's a little rocky at the moment...

    thanks!
    Lots of love,
    Whit

  • This is an interesting little convo that I had with my manager at starbuck's

Manager: What is the meaning behind Easter??
Me: (with a puzzled look on my face) It is the celebration of Jesus Christ rising from the dead on the third day.
    Manager: Rising from the dead?
    Me: Yup!
Manager: Rising from the dead? That's creepy...

Wow...didn't really know what to say to that...I'm sure I could have given her the whole gospel right there...but I wasn't really thinking on my toes.
